CRM integration

HubSpot lead retrieval, in under 10 seconds

Tendro scans the badge, enriches it, and upserts a HubSpot Contact before the rep walks away. Company associated, event properties set, your follow-up Workflow already firing.

Desk trial: test scans and real enrichment at your desk. HubSpot sync starts with your first paid event. No credit card.

§ 01 · Sync

How does Tendro sync event leads to HubSpot?

Each scan upserts a HubSpot Contact by email through the v3 Contacts API in under 10 seconds, then sets an event property your Workflow watches.

01

Capture

Scan the badge, business card, QR code, or a handwritten note. Ten seconds at the booth, then back to the conversation.

02

Enrich

Tendro fills in what the badge left out: verified email, title, company, domain, firmographics. Typing at the booth becomes the exception.

03

Score

Tag each capture hot, warm, or cold. Repeat visitors and multi-event prospects get flagged, so reps work real intent first.

04

Sync

Tendro searches Contacts by email, then creates or updates over the v3 API. The Contact ID returns, and event and owner properties are set in the same round trip.

HubSpot's batch upsert does not treat email as a unique key, so the working path is search-then-write. Three reps scanning the same prospect resolve to one Contact, latest data winning on conflicts.

Workflow automation needs Marketing Hub Professional or a Sales Hub Pro seat. Confirm your tier before you build the follow-up.

§ 02 · Field mapping

What properties does a scan set in HubSpot?

Lifecycle Stage, Original Source, a custom Event Name, booth owner, scan timestamp, and notes cover routing and attribution.

Tendro captureHubSpot
  1. Email, title, companyStandard Contact properties
  2. Lifecycle StageLead or MQL
  3. Original SourceOffline Sources
  4. Source drill-downsTrade Show / event name
  5. Event Name (custom)Attribution spine
  6. Booth OwnerCapturing rep (Owners API)
  7. Scan timestampISO 8601 property
  8. Booth notesFree-text property

Use a custom Event Name property as the immutable spine. HubSpot made Original Source editable in 2026 and split off a separate Record Source for the native origin signal, so do not lean on Original Source alone.

Skip the UTM properties. They apply to web-tracked visits, and a booth scan is offline.

§ 03 · Offline

What happens when the booth WiFi drops?

Scans queue locally, then upsert by email when the device reconnects. Dedup happens at the API layer, so duplicates collapse to one Contact.

Show floors run on congested WiFi and blocked carrier signal at peak. Every capture saves to the phone first, so the queue keeps moving while a prospect is still in front of you.

When the connection returns, the backlog delivers to HubSpot in scan order. Nothing waits on the venue, and the real scan time rides along with the record.

§ 04 · Setup

How do I connect HubSpot?

Authorize the HubSpot OAuth connector, map captured fields to your properties, set the enrollment trigger, and run a test scan.

01

Connect

Authorize Tendro against your HubSpot account over OAuth 2.0. No CSV pipeline, no manual key management.

02

Map

Tendro reads your custom properties from HubSpot's Properties API, so you map capture fields to standard or custom properties.

03

Enroll

Trigger your Workflow on the Event Name property change, or on an active list. Skip static lists, they never enroll post-show scans.

04

Test

Desk-scan before the show and confirm the Contact, the association, and the first Workflow email.

§ 05 · Attribution

How do I attribute pipeline back to the booth in HubSpot?

Tag every Contact with the Event Name property, then group Deal reports by that associated-contact property for sourced pipeline.

The Event Name property is the spine. Every Deal inherits it through the associated Contact, so you can report sourced pipeline, closed-won by event at 90 and 180 days, and pipeline by booth owner.

Personal-email badges break Company auto-association. Capture the work email, or let the OCR write the company name so HubSpot can still match.

§ 06 · Pricing

What does the HubSpot integration cost?

$499 per event with unlimited team members, phones, and scans. Every integration included. Compare that to $400 to $700 per rented device.

One flat rate covers the whole booth staff. No per-seat license and no per-device rental, and the app travels to the next show while the rental stays behind.

A full calendar gets the season pass: flat per-event pricing that drops as you add shows. The free desk trial tests real scans and enrichment at your desk, no card; HubSpot sync turns on with your first paid event.

§ 07 · Last call

Sync HubSpot at your next event.

One app. Every event. No hardware rentals.
